Portsmouth

Portsmouth is an English channel ferry port that is located on the south coast of England in Hampshire.

The city lies mostly on Portsea Island which is a 9 square mile low-lying island off the coast of Hampshire. Portsmouth is one of the most famous ports in the UK and has a strong maritime history which dates back for hundreds of years.

There are a whole variety of attractions for all the family in and around the city and it also boasts a strong naval heritage due to the dockyard. Other attractions around the city include Lord Nelson's flagship HMS Victory, the Spinnaker Tower and HMS Warrior.

The port is perfectly located for ferries and cruises and is known as Britain’s best connected ferry port. There are many routes to France from the city including ferries to Caen, ferries to St Malo, ferries to Le Havre and ferries to Cherbourg.
